I 'm trying to use async on Oracle 9.2.0.6 with Sles 9 with Sp2. The installation worked fine there is no obvious problem. I recompile oracle with async support with no problem. Then restartMy notes below.

Since then applied the SP2 patch discovered I could not log onto the
old database was nothing critical in it so One other piece of information when I try using Oracle Enterprise

y meAre you asking why you get different errors on the two servers or why the SQL statement is failing?
I would guess that it 's failing because column g1an8 is of datatype NUMBER.
Are you sure that botBoth servers are Oracle 8.1.7.4 EE 64 bit on AIX 4.3.x should be same patch
and maintenance level. Anyone seen this type of behavior before? I
